Exhibiting an innate, passionate musicality and brilliant technical mastery of the piano well beyond his years, fifteen-year-old virtuoso pianist and composer Talon Smith has already won Gold at the 2016 Gina Bachauer International Junior Artists Piano Competition and has performed with orchestras and in many solo artist concerts. Original works and arrangements from Clifford Lamb's last two releases, Bridges and Brothers and Sisters. This is a Herbie Hancock influenced exploration of the interplay between three distinct styles of improvisation.

Clifford Lamb began Classical Piano studies at age 5 and graduated from Boston's Berklee College of Music. His past two releases, produced by Jeffrey Weber, feature Buster Williams on Bass and Cindy Blackman Santana in Drums. Both releases have enjoyed sustained Top 50 most played albums on National Radio.

Shtrykov-Tanaka Duo Presents "Epilogues"

Program to include works written for the clarinet at the end of composers' lives, including the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Francis Poulenc and Sonatas for Clarinet and Piano by Johannes Brahms.

Greg Johnson-composer, piano, v piano founder of Glass Brick Boulevard. Greg will be exploring some brand new territory as well as old favorites from the Glass Brick Boulevard catalog.

A one of a kind original contemporary jazz power quartet with a delicate touch that will make
you dance and make you cry all in the same night. As the band once said, "If Beethoven came back as Seal, we'd be his back-up band."

Founder Greg Johnson grew up in the midwest listening to Gospel, Motown and Beethoven. In the early seventies, bands like Yes, The Who, and Pink Floyd began shaping the road that with the inclusion of Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Weather Report and others led to a compositional exploration that eventually began combining all of the influences and became Glass Brick Boulevard.

Angela Morris & Myra Melford


Bay Area pianist Myra Melford and New York-based saxophonist Angela Morris perform original compositions and spontaneous improvisations. Ranging from melodic free jazz to energetic sonic explorations, they bring their unique chemistry to the West Coast for the first time this fall. After meeting in 2008 at the Banff Centre for the Arts, in Morris’ native Canada, they finally performed together just last spring, in Orlando, FL during another residency, this time at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

French Oak Gypsy Band: A Song Journey Through Many Lands


Step aboard the caravan and take a journey through song to lands unknown. At the heart of their music is the French gypsy jazz tradition, evoking the feeling of being transported to a cafe in Paris. French Oak Gypsy Band, also draws on repertoire from around the globe.
