Berkeley’s historical network, spanning many generations of musicians, brought these women together four years ago in North Berkeley to form the Fenzo Quartet.

Lin Barron had a very musical life through the Berkeley schools and Berkeley’s Cazadero Music Camp. Retiring from corporate life enabled her to devote more time to cello and chamber music; Lin is a member of various ensembles in the east bay.  She currently studies with Andrew Luchansky.

Darien Cande worked for many years as a professional and free-lance viola player in the Bay Area with Berkeley Symphony, Midsummer Mozart, San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, and many others.  Since retiring several years ago as a violist, she has been enjoying the challenge of learning the chamber music literature as a violinist.

Patti Marsh studied viola with Felix Khuner and Jim Shallenberger in Berkeley.  She has played with the Berkeley Opera orchestra and is a member of numerous chamber music groups in the east bay.

Miwako Tomizuka. originally studied violin in Kamakura, Japan with Takamaro Saito and Tomoyasu So, then continued her studies later in Berkeley with Felix Khuner.  After retiring from teaching Japanese at UC Berkeley, she enjoys playing chamber music as often as possible.
